Crisp is a live chat platform. Events can trigger instant notifications. Here is how to pipe weForms submission straight into Crisp using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.

Skip the automation middleman

Rather than routing data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to live chat. No task meter, no monthly bill.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with weForms installed and configured.
  • A Crisp account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Crisp to AFI

Crisp uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Crisp, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it weForms to Crisp.

2. Pick your trigger

Select weForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.

3. Select Crisp as the destination

Choose Crisp from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Crisp.

4. Map fields

Match each Crisp field on the left to the corresponding weForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in weForms. Check Crisp to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email and name to Crisp with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which weForms events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a form is submitted. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
