Mailshake is a email outreach platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. If you want Restrict Content Pro membership synced to Mailshake, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting Restrict Content Pro to email outreach, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Restrict Content Pro installed and configured.
  • A Mailshake account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Mailshake to AFI

  1. Log in to your Mailshake account.
  2. Go to Settings → API and generate an API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Mailshake.
  4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Restrict Content Pro to Mailshake.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Restrict Content Pro as the form provider. AFI fires when a member signs up or a payment completes, giving you access to member name, email, membership level, payment amount, and subscription status.

3. Select Mailshake as the destination

Choose Mailshake from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This adds a lead to a Mailshake campaign.

4. Map fields

Match each Mailshake field on the left to the corresponding Restrict Content Pro field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, membership level, payment amount, and subscription status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Restrict Content Pro. Check Mailshake to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Mailshake with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and campaign selection. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which Restrict Content Pro events trigger the integration?

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
