EngageBay is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Getting Restrict Content Pro membership into EngageBay does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.

The direct approach

AFI delivers membership data straight from WordPress to EngageBay. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Restrict Content Pro installed and configured.
  • A EngageBay account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect EngageBay to AFI

  1. Log in to your EngageBay account.
  2. Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → EngageBay.
  4. Enter the API Key, email, and name, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Restrict Content Pro to EngageBay.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Restrict Content Pro as the form provider. AFI fires when a member signs up or a payment completes, giving you access to member name, email, membership level, payment amount, and subscription status.

3. Select EngageBay as the destination

Choose EngageBay from the platform dropdown and pick Create Contact. This creates a contact in EngageBay.

4. Map fields

Match each EngageBay field on the left to the corresponding Restrict Content Pro field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, membership level, payment amount, and subscription status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Restrict Content Pro. Check EngageBay to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps name, email, and phone to EngageBay with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which Restrict Content Pro events trigger the integration?

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
