How to Send Charitable Data to Maropost

Maropost is a marketing automation platform. Here is how to pipe Charitable donation straight into Maropost using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.

Connect Maropost to AFI

1. Log in to your Maropost account.
2. Copy your Account ID and API Token.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Maropost.
4. Enter the credentials and click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Charitable to Maropost.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Charitable as the form provider. AFI fires when a donation is made through a fundraising campaign, giving you access to donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway.

3. Select Maropost as the destination

Choose Maropost from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to Maropost.

4. Map fields

Match each Maropost field on the left to the corresponding Charitable field on the right. Common mappings include donor name, email, donation amount, campaign ID, and gateway. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Charitable. Check Maropost to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
