How to Send MemberPress Data to Knack
Knack is a database platform. If you want MemberPress membership synced to Knack, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting MemberPress to database, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with MemberPress installed and configured.
- A Knack account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Knack to AFI
- Log in to your Knack account.
- Copy your App ID and API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Knack.
- Enter the credentials and click Save.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it MemberPress to Knack.
2. Pick your trigger
Select MemberPress as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers or a subscription transaction completes, giving you access to member name, email, membership level, transaction amount, and subscription status.
3. Select Knack as the destination
Choose Knack from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in a Knack app.
4. Map fields
Match each Knack field on the left to the corresponding MemberPress field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, membership level, transaction amount, and subscription status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in MemberPress. Check Knack to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps standard app fields to Knack with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which MemberPress events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a member registers or a subscription transaction completes. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
