How to Send Fluent Affiliate Data to Pardot
Pardot is a marketing automation platform. Fluent Affiliate runs your affiliate program on WordPress. Pardot is where your affiliate data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.
Why connect directly?
Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-referral fees, no external dependencies.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Fluent Affiliate installed and configured.
- A Pardot account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Pardot to AFI
Pardot uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Pardot, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Fluent Affiliate to Pardot.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Fluent Affiliate as the form provider. AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, giving you access to affiliate details, referral amounts, and commission data.
3. Select Pardot as the destination
Choose Pardot from the platform dropdown and pick Create Prospect. This creates a prospect in Pardot.
4. Map fields
Match each Pardot field on the left to the corresponding Fluent Affiliate field on the right. Common mappings include affiliate name, email, referral ID, commission amount, and status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain referrals? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Fluent Affiliate. Check Pardot to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Pardot with unlimited referrals. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-referral fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Fluent Affiliate events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated. This covers new affiliate registrations, referral creations, and commission status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the affiliate event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send affiliate data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
