How to Send SliceWP Data to Segment

Segment is a customer data platform. If you want SliceWP an affiliate registers or a commission is recorded synced to Segment, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with SliceWP installed and configured.
• A Segment account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Segment to AFI

1. Get your Segment Write Key.
2. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Segment.
3. Paste the Write Key.
4. Click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it SliceWP to Segment.

2. Pick your trigger

Select SliceWP as the form provider. AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a commission is recorded, giving you access to affiliate details, referral amounts, and commission data.

3. Select Segment as the destination

Choose Segment from the platform dropdown and pick Identify User. This identifies a user in Segment.

4. Map fields

Match each Segment field on the left to the corresponding SliceWP field on the right. Common mappings include affiliate name, email, referral ID, commission amount, and status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain referrals? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in SliceWP. Check Segment to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
