How to Send bbPress Data to Zendesk Sell
Zendesk Sell is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Here is how to pipe bbPress data straight into Zendesk Sell using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.
The direct approach

- Log in to your Zendesk Sell account.

- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Zendesk Sell.
- Paste the API Token and click Save Changes.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it bbPress to Zendesk Sell.
2. Pick your trigger
Select bbPress as the form provider. AFI fires when a user creates a topic or replies in a forum, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.
3. Select Zendesk Sell as the destination
Choose Zendesk Sell from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates a lead in Zendesk Sell.
4. Map fields
Match each Zendesk Sell field on the left to the corresponding bbPress field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a user creates a topic or replies in a forum in bbPress. Check Zendesk Sell to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name, email, and phone to Zendesk Sell with unlimited events. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-event fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which bbPress events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a user creates a topic or replies in a forum. This covers member registrations, profile updates, and group joins.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the community event completes. Your members are not affected.
Can I send member data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
