HighLevel is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. bbPress manages a user creates a topic or replies in a forum, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to HighLevel.

Why connect directly?

Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-registration fees, no external dependencies.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with bbPress installed and configured.
  • A HighLevel account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect HighLevel to AFI

  1. Log in to your HighLevel account.
  2. Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → HighLevel.
  4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it bbPress to HighLevel.

2. Pick your trigger

Select bbPress as the form provider. AFI fires when a user creates a topic or replies in a forum, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.

3. Select HighLevel as the destination

Choose HighLevel from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates or updates a contact in HighLevel.

4. Map fields

Match each HighLevel field on the left to the corresponding bbPress field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a user creates a topic or replies in a forum in bbPress. Check HighLevel to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps name, email, and phone to HighLevel with unlimited events. Pro adds custom field mapping and tags. No per-event fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which bbPress events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a user creates a topic or replies in a forum. This covers member registrations, profile updates, and group joins.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the community event completes. Your members are not affected.

Can I send member data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
