How to Send BuddyBoss Data to Knack

Knack is a database platform. If you want BuddyBoss activity in Knack, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with BuddyBoss installed and configured.
• A Knack account.

Connect Knack to AFI

1. Log in to your Knack account.
2. Copy your App ID and API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Knack.
4. Enter the credentials and click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to Knack.

2. Pick your trigger

Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.

3. Select Knack as the destination

Choose Knack from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in a Knack app.

4. Map fields

Match each Knack field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check Knack to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
