Microsoft Dataverse is a database platform. Here is how to pipe LifterLMS data straight into Microsoft Dataverse using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.

Skip the automation middleman

Rather than routing data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to database. No task meter, no monthly bill.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with LifterLMS installed and at least one course.
  • A Microsoft Dataverse account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Microsoft Dataverse to AFI

Microsoft Dataverse uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Microsoft Dataverse, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LifterLMS to Microsoft Dataverse.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LifterLMS as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Microsoft Dataverse as the destination

Choose Microsoft Dataverse from the platform dropdown and pick Add Row. This creates a row in a Dataverse table.

4. Map fields

Match each Microsoft Dataverse field on the left to the corresponding LifterLMS field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LifterLMS. Check Microsoft Dataverse to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps standard table fields to Microsoft Dataverse with unlimited enrollments. Pro adds custom field mapping for all columns. No per-enrollment fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which LifterLMS events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership. This covers new enrollments, course completions, and student registrations.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the enrollment event completes. Your students are not affected.

Can I send enrollments to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every enrollment flows to all of them simultaneously.
