How to Send LifterLMS Enrollments to Clio

Connect Clio to AFI

Clio uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Clio, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LifterLMS to Clio.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LifterLMS as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Clio as the destination

Choose Clio from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Clio.

4. Map fields

Match each Clio field on the left to the corresponding LifterLMS field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LifterLMS. Check Clio to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
