Autopilot is a platform platform. LifterLMS handles a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership on your WordPress site. Autopilot is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting your LMS to platform, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with LifterLMS installed and at least one course.
  • A Autopilot account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Autopilot to AFI

Autopilot uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Autopilot, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LifterLMS to Autopilot.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LifterLMS as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Autopilot as the destination

Choose Autopilot from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in Autopilot.

4. Map fields

Match each Autopilot field on the left to the corresponding LifterLMS field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LifterLMS. Check Autopilot to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps name and email to Autopilot with unlimited enrollments. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-enrollment fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which LifterLMS events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership. This covers new enrollments, course completions, and student registrations.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the enrollment event completes. Your students are not affected.

Can I send enrollments to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every enrollment flows to all of them simultaneously.
