How to Send LearnDash Enrollments to Total Expert

Total Expert is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Every LearnDash enrollment should flow into Total Expert automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

The direct approach

What you will need

• A WordPress site with LearnDash installed and at least one course.
• A Total Expert account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Total Expert to AFI

Total Expert uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Total Expert, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LearnDash to Total Expert.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LearnDash as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Total Expert as the destination

Choose Total Expert from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Total Expert.

4. Map fields

Match each Total Expert field on the left to the corresponding LearnDash field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LearnDash. Check Total Expert to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
