Kintone is a database platform. LearnDash manages a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Kintone.

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting your LMS to database, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with LearnDash installed and at least one course.
  • A Kintone account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Kintone to AFI

Kintone uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Kintone, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LearnDash to Kintone.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LearnDash as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Kintone as the destination

Choose Kintone from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in Kintone.

4. Map fields

Match each Kintone field on the left to the corresponding LearnDash field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LearnDash. Check Kintone to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps standard app fields to Kintone with unlimited enrollments. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-enrollment fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which LearnDash events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson. This covers new enrollments, course completions, and student registrations.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the enrollment event completes. Your students are not affected.

Can I send enrollments to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every enrollment flows to all of them simultaneously.
