How to Send LearnDash Enrollments to Crisp
Crisp is a live chat platform. Enrollment events can trigger instant notifications. If you want LearnDash data in Crisp, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting your LMS to live chat, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with LearnDash installed and at least one course.
- A Crisp account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Crisp to AFI
Crisp uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Crisp, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LearnDash to Crisp.
2. Pick your trigger
Select LearnDash as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.
3. Select Crisp as the destination
Choose Crisp from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Crisp.
4. Map fields
Match each Crisp field on the left to the corresponding LearnDash field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LearnDash. Check Crisp to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email and name to Crisp with unlimited enrollments. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-enrollment fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which LearnDash events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson. This covers new enrollments, course completions, and student registrations.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the enrollment event completes. Your students are not affected.
Can I send enrollments to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every enrollment flows to all of them simultaneously.
