How to Send CartFlows Orders to Slack
Slack is a messaging platform. Order events can trigger instant notifications. Here is how to pipe CartFlows order data straight into Slack using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.
The direct approach
AFI delivers order data straight from WordPress to Slack. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with CartFlows installed and configured.
- A Slack account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Slack to AFI
Slack uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Slack, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it CartFlows to Slack.
2. Pick your trigger
Select CartFlows as the form provider. AFI fires when an order is completed through a flow, giving you access to customer details, product information, and order totals.
3. Select Slack as the destination
Choose Slack from the platform dropdown and pick Send Message. This sends a message to a Slack channel.
4. Map fields
Match each Slack field on the left to the corresponding CartFlows field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Place a test order through your CartFlows funnel. Check Slack to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps message text to Slack with unlimited orders. Pro adds channel selection via webhook. No per-order fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which CartFlows events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when an order is completed through a flow. This covers new orders, customer details, and product information.
Will adding this slow down my checkout?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the order is processed. Your customers complete checkout normally without any delay.
Can I send orders to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every order flows to all of them simultaneously.
