How to Send FluentCart Orders to ActiveCampaign
ActiveCampaign is a CRM and email marketing that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. If you want FluentCart orders synced to ActiveCampaign, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting CRM and email marketing, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with FluentCart installed and configured.
- A ActiveCampaign account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect ActiveCampaign to AFI
- Log in to your Active Campaign account.
- Go to Settings → Developer and copy your API URL and Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → ActiveCampaign.
- Enter the API URL and Key, then click Save.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it FluentCart to ActiveCampaign.
2. Pick your trigger
Select FluentCart as the form provider. AFI fires when an order is placed, giving you access to customer details, product information, and order totals.
3. Select ActiveCampaign as the destination
Choose ActiveCampaign from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates or updates a contact in Active Campaign.
4. Map fields
Match each ActiveCampaign field on the left to the corresponding FluentCart field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your FluentCart store. Check ActiveCampaign to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to ActiveCampaign with unlimited orders. Pro adds custom field mapping and list assignment. No per-order fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which FluentCart events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when an order is placed. This covers new orders, customer details, and product information.
Will adding this slow down my checkout?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the order is processed. Your customers complete checkout normally without any delay.
Can I send orders to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every order flows to all of them simultaneously.
