How to Send SureCart Orders to Slack

Slack is a messaging platform. Order events can trigger instant notifications. If you want SureCart orders synced to Slack, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

Why connect directly?

Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-order fees, no external dependencies.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with SureCart installed and configured.
• A Slack account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Slack to AFI

Slack uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Slack, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it SureCart to Slack.

2. Pick your trigger

Select SureCart as the form provider. AFI fires when a checkout or order is completed, giving you access to customer details, product information, and order totals.

3. Select Slack as the destination

Choose Slack from the platform dropdown and pick Send Message. This sends a message to a Slack channel.

4. Map fields

Match each Slack field on the left to the corresponding SureCart field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your SureCart store. Check Slack to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
