How to Send Easy Digital Downloads Orders to Moneybird

Moneybird is an invoicing and accounting platform for managing finances. Every Easy Digital Downloads sale should flow into Moneybird automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

Connect Moneybird to AFI

1. Log in to your Moneybird account.
2. Go to Settings → API and create an API token.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Moneybird.
4. Enter the Administration ID and API token, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Easy Digital Downloads to Moneybird.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Easy Digital Downloads as the form provider. AFI fires when a purchase is completed, giving you access to customer details, product information, payment data, and download links.

3. Select Moneybird as the destination

Choose Moneybird from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Moneybird.

4. Map fields

Match each Moneybird field on the left to the corresponding Easy Digital Downloads field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain purchases? Set up a conditional rule. For example, only sync completed payments or specific products.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test purchase in your Easy Digital Downloads store. Check Moneybird to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
