How to Send WooCommerce Orders to Planning Center

Planning Center is a church management platform. Every WooCommerce order should flow into Planning Center automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

The direct approach

What you will need

• A WordPress site with WooCommerce installed and configured.

Connect Planning Center to AFI

Planning Center uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Planning Center, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WooCommerce to Planning Center.

2. Pick your trigger

Select WooCommerce as the form provider. AFI fires when an order status changes, giving you access to customer details, billing and shipping addresses, line items, totals, and payment method.

3. Select Planning Center as the destination

Choose Planning Center from the platform dropdown and pick Add Person. This creates a person in Planning Center.

4. Map fields

Match each Planning Center field on the left to the corresponding WooCommerce order field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, phone, billing address, order total, and product details. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule. For example, only sync orders above a specific total, or only completed orders.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your WooCommerce store. Check Planning Center to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
