How to Send WooCommerce Orders to Omnisend
Omnisend is a platform platform. Here is how to pipe WooCommerce order data straight into Omnisend using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.
Skip the automation middleman
Rather than routing order data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to Omnisend. No task meter, no monthly bill.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with WooCommerce installed and configured.
- A Omnisend account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Omnisend to AFI
Omnisend uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Omnisend, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WooCommerce to Omnisend.
2. Pick your trigger
Select WooCommerce as the form provider. AFI fires when an order status changes, giving you access to customer details, billing and shipping addresses, line items, totals, and payment method.
3. Select Omnisend as the destination
Choose Omnisend from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in Omnisend.
4. Map fields
Match each Omnisend field on the left to the corresponding WooCommerce order field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, phone, billing address, order total, and product details. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule. For example, only sync orders above a specific total, or only completed orders.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your WooCommerce store. Check Omnisend to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name and email to Omnisend with unlimited orders. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-order fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which WooCommerce events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when an order status changes (for example, pending to processing, or processing to completed). This covers new orders, successful payments, refunds, and cancellations.
Will adding this slow down my checkout?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the order is processed. Your customers complete checkout normally without any delay.
Can I send orders to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every order flows to all of them simultaneously.
