How to Send WPForms Submissions to Mailshake

Mailshake is a email outreach platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. WPForms lets you build forms in minutes, but sending submissions to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Mailshake. Here is the full setup.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with WPForms installed and at least one form.
• A Mailshake account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Mailshake to AFI

1. Log in to your Mailshake account.
2. Go to Settings → API and generate an API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Mailshake.
4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WPForms to Mailshake.

2. Pick your trigger

Select WPForms as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select Mailshake as the destination

Choose Mailshake from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This adds a lead to a Mailshake campaign.

4. Map fields

Match each Mailshake field on the left to the corresponding WPForms field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your WPForms form and submit. Check Mailshake to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

The free version maps email, first name, and last name to Mailshake with unlimited submissions. Pro adds custom field mapping and campaign selection. No per-submission fees on any plan.
