Podio is a project management tool for organizing work and collaborating. Contact Form 7 is the most popular form plugin on WordPress, and Podio is where that data needs to land. Here is how to connect the two without writing code.

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting Contact Form 7 to project management, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Contact Form 7 installed and at least one form.
  • A Podio account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Podio to AFI

Podio uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Podio, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it CF7 to Podio.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Contact Form 7 and choose your form. Fields are detected automatically.

3. Select Podio as the destination

Choose Podio and pick Add Item. This creates an item in a Podio app.

4. Map fields

Match each Podio field to the corresponding Contact Form 7 field. Smart tags like {{_submission_date}} are available.

5. Add conditions if needed

Send only specific submissions based on conditional rules.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Submit a test form and verify in Podio. Check AFI → Log if needed.

Free vs Pro

Free maps title and description with unlimited submissions. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-submission fees.
