How to Send Contact Form 7 Submissions to MailPoet
MailPoet is an email marketing plugin that runs entirely inside WordPress. No external service required.
Every time a visitor submits your Contact Form 7 form, that data should flow into MailPoet automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.
The direct approach
AFI processes everything on your WordPress site and sends data directly to MailPoet. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and a full audit trail.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Contact Form 7 installed and at least one form.
- A MailPoet account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect MailPoet to AFI
- MailPoet runs inside WordPress, so no external API key is needed.
- Make sure the MailPoet plugin is installed and activated.
- In AFI, select MailPoet as the action platform.
- Choose a list and map your fields.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it something like CF7 to MailPoet.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Contact Form 7 and choose the form. AFI detects fields automatically.
3. Select MailPoet as the destination
Choose MailPoet from the dropdown and pick Subscribe To List. This subscribes a contact to a MailPoet list.
4. Map fields
Match each MailPoet field to the corresponding Contact Form 7 field. Smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}} are also available.
5. Add conditions if needed
Set up conditional rules to send only specific submissions based on form field values.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Submit a test form and verify the data arrived in MailPoet. Check AFI → Log to debug any issues.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to MailPoet with unlimited submissions. Pro adds custom subscriber field mapping. No per-submission fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need coding skills?
No. Everything is configured through a visual interface.
Will adding this slow down my form?

Can I connect multiple forms?
