How to Send Contact Form 7 Submissions to Intercom

Connect Intercom to AFI

1. Log in to your Intercom workspace.
2. Go to Settings → API Keys and copy your Access Token.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Intercom.
4. Paste the Access Token and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it something recognizable, like CF7 to Intercom.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Contact Form 7 and choose the specific form. AFI reads the form fields automatically.

3. Select Intercom as the destination

Choose Intercom from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates or updates a contact in Intercom.

4. Map fields

Match each Intercom field to the corresponding Contact Form 7 field. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Submit a test entry and confirm the data arrived in Intercom. Check AFI → Log if anything needs debugging.
